Red X

Red X is a fictional character from the animated series Teen Titans. He has no counterpart in the comic book version. Red X first appears in season one, during the episode "Masks". Here he is first seen stealing high-tech computer chips for the Titans' archrival, Slade. It is later revealed that Red X is in fact Robin, the Titans' leader, in disguise in an attempt to trick Slade into telling him his plans. The plan fails: Slade sees straight through Robin's disguise and tells him nothing. Robin reclaims the stolen chips but loses the trust of his teammates who he had betrayed. Later on in the series, in the episode "X," Red X appears again trying to steal an extremely powerful but volatile energy source called xenothium. This time, however, it is not Robin. It is later revealed that this new super-thief snuck into the Titan's home and stole the Red X suit Robin had made. It is thought at first that he is just another villain, but later on in the episode he helps Robin free his friends from the evil Professor Chang. At the end of the episode, Robin steals Red X's belt, which contains all its gadgets, and locks it away, but Red X escapes. Robin is left wondering if his actions when he was Red X make him a villain or if the new Red X's action saving the city from Professor Chang makes him a hero. Apppearances:
