Reading Half Marathon

The Reading Half Marathon is a half marathon held on the streets of the English town of Reading in March of every year. The race is open to everyone from fun runner to elite athletes, and was one of the first city races to include wheelchair athletes. In 2005 the race had 12,000 registered entrants. The race was first run on the 13th March 1983. The Reading Half Marathon has had several courses over its life. The current course starts at the South Reading Leisure Centre in south Reading, and proceeds north to the city centre via a loop of Reading University's Whitenights Campus. It then loops around the city centre and west Reading before heading back south. The finish is within the Madejski Stadium.
