Raymond Pettibon

Raymond Pettibon (born 1957) is an artist, most famous for his relation to brother Greg Ginn of Black Flag fame. He is known for his bizarre comic-like drawings with disturbing or ironic captions. Pettibon earned an economics degreee from UCLA and worked as a high school mathematics teacher for a short period, before persuing a career in art. His artwork was prominent in the 1980s Los Angeles punk scene, appearing on flyers and records (most famously those of Black Flag, Minutemen and Sonic Youth). He released numerous books through Ginn's SST Records, though most are now out of print, and sometimes command high prices. Since then, he has gained acclaim on the international art scene, with his first major exposition in 1995. He lives in Hermosa Beach, California http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents Help Pettibon, Raymond
