Rayleigh Distribution

Rayleigh distribution is a probability distribution. The probability density function is
f(x; \beta) = \frac{x \exp\left(\frac{-x^2}{2\beta^2}\right)}{\beta^2} \quad \mbox{for } x \in [0, \infty).
It is derived from an exponential distribution by the transformation:
R = \sqrt{\frac{2X}{\beta}}.
Mean: \beta \sqrt{\frac{\pi}{2}} Variance: \frac{4 - \pi}{2} \beta^2 Skewness: \frac{2(\pi - 3) \sqrt{\pi}}{(4 - \pi)^{3/2}} Kurtosis: - \frac{6\pi^2 - 24\pi +16}{(\pi - 4)^2}
