Ray Larabie

Ray Larabie (born 1971 in Mississauga, Ontario) is a prolific designer of computer Truetype fonts. Beginning in 1996, Larabie distributed his designs over the internet as freeware. Many of his designs were inspired by corporate and rock band logos: Others were creations of Larabie's own imagination. Early designs were typically science fiction or techno-oriented, but Larabie eventually began designing fonts in a wide variety of styles. Many of his designs would become commonly used in advertising. Larabie would release over 300 freeware fonts before announcing in 2002 that he would be focusing exclusively on commercial fonts that he sold through his new type foundry Typodermic. Larabie's prolific creativity inspired numerous other amateur designers to create freeware fonts.
