Small and very quick, Rattata is a common sight in many places; when food is available, it will produce offspring very quickly. Rattata is known for chewing on everything it finds. Name Origin "Rattata" is either a conjunction of "rat" and "attack," or a mispelling of "Rat-tat-tat," the sound that a machine gun makes. This makes sense because it is a "rapidly attacking rat." Availability In Pokmon Red/Blue, Pokmon Yellow and Pokmon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Rattata can be found in a variety of locations. In Pokmon Sapphire/Ruby, Rattata is not available at all. Strengths / weaknesses Rattata is vulnerable to Fighting, and is immune to Ghost. External links
