Randolph, MaineRandolph is a census-designated place located in Kennebec County, Maine. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,911. Geography Randolph is located at 44°14'5" North, 69°45'26" West (44.234914, -69.757226). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.8 km² (2.2 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 4.48% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,911 people, 829 households, and 536 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 346.4/km² (897.6/mi²). There are 884 housing units at an average density of 160.2/km² (415.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 97.23% White, 0.47% Black or African American, 0.52% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.26% from other races, and 1.26% from two or more races. 0.84% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 829 households out of which 30.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.4% are married couples living together, 12.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% are non-families. 30.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.30 and the average family size is 2.82. In the CDP the population is spread out with 24.9% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 28.0% from 25 to 44, 23.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 93.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 82.6 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $31,046, and the median income for a family is $38,920. Males have a median income of $31,196 versus $20,313 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $15,742. 10.4% of the population and 9.1% of families are below the poverty line.
