Raf Coltishall

RAF Coltishall is a Royal Air Force station near Norwich in eastern England. As of 2005, it houses the last two remaining squadrons of Jaguar aircraft in the RAF. The Ministry of Defence, in the Delivering Security in a Changing World review, announched that the base will close by December 2006. The future of the base was in doubt since the Ministry of Defence announced that the Typhoon, the Jaguar's replacement, was not to be based there. The first two squadrons to disband, 16 and 54, did so on 11 March 2005.
