Quin (Sigilverse)A fictional planet in Sigilverse. It is slighly smaller than Earth. It has two continents and a large Ocean. In the past, Quin had a moon, but it crashed into far side of the planet. As the result, the southern continent was turned into a lifeless wasteland. Some debris were launched back into the orbit by the sheer force of the impact, eventually becoming a set of rings, simular to the ones that surround planet Saturn. Quin is a populated by several sentient races: the majestic winged Ankharians, the ever-so-adaptable humans and the slocky, reptilian Trolls. For centuries, they existed in uneasy harmony, preferring to stay within their own territoriies. But in 987th century, an ambitious human warlord named Mordath convinced the leaders of all Troll clans to help him conquer Quin. They came close to succeeding until a mysterious warrior named Ayden united the scattered armies of Quin. Within a year, Mordath's forces were defeated. Mordath himself was killed by an arrow from Ayden's bow. After the war ended, the people of Quin begged Ayden to become their kind. He refused. He left for the parts unknown, leaving behind a promise that he would return if Quin ever needed him again. Five Lands Quin is divided into five states known as the Five Lands. All of them are located on Quin's only habitable continent. Most inhabitants of Quin regard the southern continent as nothing more than a vivid legend. Grinbor: The mountain region of Quin. This is the homeland of Trolls and the site of Mordath's tomb Ankhara: The cliff region of Quin. It is home to the Ankharians. For the most part, they live in seclusion behind the steep walls of their cliff cities because they consider other races to be inferior. Ankhara is known for magnificent temples and palaces, as well as virtually impenetrable fortifications. Much of Anhkarian architecture is simular to the architecture of Earth's Ancient Egypt. Oudubai: This is the desert region of Quin. This is home to the desert warriors, a group of humans simular to Earth's Bedouins and Arabs. Skarnhime: This is the ice region of Quin populated primarely by humans. It is famous throughout the land for its beautiful crystal cities. Middelyn: This is the plains of Quin. It is considered the cultural center of humanity. Middelyn resembles the mystical kingdoms found in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien Quin was seen in the following CrossGen Comics: External link * The Sojourn Site - has lots of information on Quin and its inhabitants
