  • Mary of Gueldres (1433-1463), queen consort of Scotland, was the daughter of Arnold von Geldern, Duke of Gueldres (Burgundy, France), the wife of James II of Scotland and the mother of James III of Scotland

A Cunard ocean liner, constructed in the 1930s was named the RMS Queen Mary for Mary of Teck. Since its retirement, the liner has been permanently located in Long Beach, California. A second Cunard transatlantic cruise liner took the name RMS Queen Mary 2 and was christened on January 8 2004. During World War I, a British battlecruiser, HMS Queen Mary, was named after the same queen.
Queen Mary is the name of one of the colleges of the University of London.
