Que Locura

Que Locura is a television comedy show from Venezuela.

Show information

The show was first broadcast in 2002. Produced by Venevision and directed by Hugo Carregal, the show has, as of 2004, 56 recorded episodes. Que Locura has become a hit in the United States (where it is shown by Univision) and in other South American countries as well. The show is sort of a Venezuelan version of Candid Camera, with one difference: Que Locura's pranks always feature celebrities, both local and international, as the victims. Among the show's pranks, there is one where the celebrity is driven to Venevision's parking lot (thinking that he or she is going to be interviewed on a television show), then told by a "security guard" that he or she cannot proceed because the celebrity's name does not appear on the list of Venevision guests for that day. Other pranks involve an apparently incapacitated man jumping all over celebrities, fake policemen stopping celebrity cars to handle out "tickets" and an interviewer "catching" his "wife" kissing a cameraman as he conducts an "interview" with a celebrity, after which the interviewer and the "cameraman" stage a mock fight.
