Puerto Rican Renovation Party

The Puerto Rican Renovation Party —or Partido de Renovacin Puertorriqueo (PRP) in Spanish— was a short-lived political party in Puerto Rico. The party's political ideologies were unclear. Apparently, the party's leader, Hernn Padilla, former mayor of San Juan (when he was a member of the PNP) only planned to topple Puerto Rico's major parties. The party was created in 1983, and it came in fourth place at the 1984 elections for governor. Soon after, the party closed its offices. The PRP was known as the multi-color party, because its logo was a rainbow.
