Public Holidays In Australia

Following is a list of public holidays observed in Australia In addition to the holidays listed in the table below, Remembrance Day is also observed on November 11, but it is not a public holiday. Depending on the state, holidays falling on a Saturday or Sunday may be moved to Monday; Boxing Day may be moved to a Tuesday when 25 December is a Saturday or Sunday. Additionally, there are a number of regional public holidays—for example, Melbourne Cup day is a public holiday in the Melbourne metropolitan region, whilst March 18 is celebrated as Canberra Day and is a public holiday within the Australian Capital Territory.
