Pteria

Pteria was the capital of the White Syrians in northern Cappadocia. They were said by Herodotus to have been taken and ruined by Croesus in 547 BC. Although some have identified Pteria with Hattusa, this is uncertain; Herodotus mentions Pteria as near Sinop on the Black Sea, which is not at all close to Hattusa.
