Province Of Prato

Prato (It. Provincia di Prato) is a province in the Tuscany region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Prato. It was formed from part of the province of Florence in 1992. It has an area of 365 sq km, and a total population of 227,886 (2001). There are 7 communes in the province (source: Italian institute of statistics Istat, see this link).
