Prometheus Society

The Prometheus Society is a high-IQ society comparable to Mensa International. Their membership requirements are, however, six hundred times more selective. From their website:
"The Prometheus Society was established in 1982 by philosopher Ronald K. Hoeflin, Ph.D. to promote fellowship among individuals with extremely high intelligence. Membership in the society is open to anyone who has received a score on an accepted IQ test that is equal to or greater than that received by the highest one thirty-thousandth of the general population. The Prometheus Society is a world-wide nonprofit organization with fewer than one hundred members. Currently there are participants from 18 countries." The membership roster is a diverse and surprising potpourri. There are CEOs of high-tech firms, math professors, computer programmers, physics PhDs, army officers, dry cleaners, and people who work for NASA. Quite a few are involved with computer modeling of complex phenomena.
The society's journal is Gift of Fire.
