Prelude In G Major

Prelude in G major is a generic title for any piece of music which is a prelude and in the key of G major. Preludes tend to be quite short or form one movement in a larger work. As such they are rarely referred to in their own right. Best known preludes in G major are; Several Composers have written collections of Preludes or Preludes and Fugues in all 24 major and minor keys. Notably JS Bach in his Well-Tempered Clavier, and also Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich. Each of these collections must, include a Prelude in G major, although it is not common to refer to any individual prelude from these sets.
