Pope Adeodatus

Adeodatus (also known as Adeodatus II) reigned as pope from 672 to 676. Little is known of him. He was a monk of the Roman cloister of St Erasmus on the Caelian Hill, and he was active in improving monastic discipline, and in the repression of the Monothelitism. He is sometimes referred to as Adeodatus II since an earlier Pope Deusdedit is sometimes known as Adeodatus I. Adeodatus 2
