Ponta Do Pargo

Ponta do Pargo is a parish in the district of Calheta in the Madeira Islands. The population in 2001 is 1,145, its density is 52/km and the area is 22 km/2,200 ha. It is located west of Calheta and southwest of Porto Moniz. The main industry are agriculture with a few businesses. It is connected with a road linking to Porto Moniz and Santana and to Funchal to the east. The area sits near a mountain slope. The Atlantic Ocean is to the west. The mountains are to the east.
