Pont-Audemer is a commune and a canton of the département of Eure, in the Haute-Normandie région of Normandy, in France. The commune is situated on the Risle between the Roumois and the Lieuvin. Until 1926, it was the seat of a sous-prfecture. The commune was spared substantial damage to its historic buildings during the Battle of Normandy. Nowadays the half-timbered buildings and the canals running between them are a tourist attraction. The church of Saint-Ouen is noted for its Renaissaince stained glass. Its coat of arms is a four arch bridge over a river argent in chief azure three fleur-de-lis or.
