Polar Ice Cap

Earth has two massive sheets of ice called polar ice caps, one in the north floating in the Arctic Ocean and the other in the south approximately covering Antarctica. The planet Mars also has ice caps, but they are believed to consist of frozen carbon dioxide as well as water. Other planets and moons may also have polar ice caps of water ice or other compounds.
