Pnakotic Manuscripts

The Pnakotic Manuscripts (or Pnakotic Fragments) are fictional grimoires invented by H. P. Lovecraft in his works Cthulhu Mythos of science fiction / horror. Lovecraft makes references to them 11 times in his works, only two fewer times than his more famous invention the Necronomicon. The Pnakotic Manuscripts were said to predate the origin of Man, and were in fact written by the Great Race of Yith and kept in their Library City of Pnakotus. They cover a variety of subjects such as the history of the Great Race, descriptions of Yibb-Tstll, the location of Xiurhn, Rhan-Tegoth's rituals, and others. There are some similarities between this book and the Eltdown Shards.
