Plymouth Duster

The first Plymouth Duster was a fastback version of the Plymouth Valiant automobile, produced in the US from 1970 to 1976. Versions designed for several different market segments were produced, from economy to performance, often with fanciful names such as Feather Duster, Gold Duster, and Duster Twister. When it debuted in 1970, the motor came standard with a 318 cubic inch V8, but optional was the famous 340 wedge. Conservatively rated at 275 horsepower, the motor could produce at least 310 horsepower. Additional information is available in the Valiant article. Later, the Duster name became a trim line of the Plymouth Turismo and Plymouth Sundance.
