Pleather

Pleather is a synthetic leather made out of plastic. The most well-known brand name of pleather is Naugahyde, made in Naugatuck, Connecticut. Often viewed as a poor man's replacement for leather, it is often joked that many "naugas" are killed each year in order to produce all the naugahyde used in manufacturing. Pleather is lighter, warmer, and less restrictive than leather.
