Playdays

Playdays was a children's television program from the United Kingdom. It aired between 1988 and 1993, and continues to be aired in reruns. The main characters of Playdays were puppets Why Bird (voiced by Ellie Darville), Peggy Patch (Sally Preisig) and Poppy. One of the main human presenters of the show was Zo Ball; in addition, Patsy Byrne played Betty the Tea Lady. The show would begin with the Playdays bus driving along to the tune of the theme song until it reached the bus stop. The bus stopped at a different place each day: the Why Bird Stop, Playground Stop, Roundabout Stop, Patch Stop, Dot Stop, Poppy Stop or Tent Stop. The show was the successor of Play School. It was designed as an educational program.
