PlasmusPlasmus is a fictional character from the DC Universe, first appearing in New Teen Titans Vol 1, issue number 14 in 1981. Born Otto Von Furth he worked in a mine near berlin until being exposed to deadly radium. Kidnapped and experimented upon by General Zahl turning him in to the inhuman Plasmus. His body is a shifting blob-like "unstable protoplasm" that can absorb and digest any organic material. He also has regenerative abilities and has returned from apparent destruction several times. In the Teen Titans Animated Series In the Teen Titans animated series, his full backstory is not known, as with most characters in it. He takes his plasma form when fully conscious (although it is not instantaneous), and for this reason, he was locked up in stasis containment. He reverts to human form when knocked out. During Transformation, exposure to acid gave him the ability to spit acid. It also changed his appearance, adding a number of large green eyes. Slade has used Plasmus on more than one occasion. In Aftershock Part II, he was fused in Ternion, a monster created from himself, Cinderblock, and Overload. It was defeated, and he has not been seen since. Plasmus's human form's design is based off of series producer David Slack.
