Plasma Torch

A plasma torch is a piece of metalworking equipment used for cutting thin pieces of metal very quickly and easily. They run entirely on electricity and compressed air. They produce a very hot and very localised 'cone' to cut with. Because of this they are extremely useful for cutting sheet metal in curved or angled shapes. They usually do not cut deeper than 0.375 inch to 0.5 inch and are quite expensive, usually at least a thousand dollars. For these reasons they are usually found in profesional welding shops and very well stocked private garages and shops. They are small enough to be lifted by one man.
