Planet Ccrma

CCRMA (pronounced karma) is a collection of RedHat packages ( RPMs ) to help optimize a Linux workstation for audio work.

Overview

The entire environment, called Planet CCRMA, was developed and tested at Stanford University and made freely-available to the public from a central repository - Planet CCRMA at Home (see External link below) The packages, once installed transform the Linux kernel using the ALSA soundcard drivers and other applications into a low-latency workstation or server for sound and video production and distribution.
