Geography is located at 44°26'25" North, 90°7'42" West (44.440409, -90.128249). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²). 5.2 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.50% is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 866 people, 331 households, and 238 families residing in the city. The population density is 167.2/km² (432.9/mi²). There are 351 housing units at an average density of 67.8/km² (175.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 98.96% White, 0.12% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.12% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 0.23% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 331 households out of which 39.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.7% are married couples living together, 9.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.8% are non-families. 25.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.60 and the average family size is 3.08. In the city the population is spread out with 29.2% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 100.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 97.1 males. The median income for a household in the city is $36,750, and the median income for a family is $41,964. Males have a median income of $30,500 versus $20,625 for females.
