Pierre Chambon

Pierre Chambon is currently a director of the Institute for Genetics and Cellular and Molecular Biology in Strasbourg, France. Specifically, his major contribution to science involved discovering nuclear hormone receptors, revealing their structure and showing how they contribute to human physiology. He accomplished the much of his work in the 1980s. He received the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research in 2004 for his work in the field.
