Phuong Ngo

Phuong Ngo ordered the killing Australian MP John Newman in September 1994. He was arrested on March 13, 1998, tried and subsequently jailed. His appeal was to the High Court of Australia was rejected in May 2004. CEFUP, a coalition of academics, activists and members of the SW Sydney Vietnamese community, have mounted a campaign to overturn Phuong Ngo's conviction.
