For more information, read the Guide to Votes for Deletion. Photocryogenesis Photocryogenesis was first observed by Edgar d'Mude during his studies at the University of Lille in 1814. He observed that the process of photosynthesis in plants was directly proportional to the temperature around the plant and from this was able to determine the temperature at which photosynthesis began.
