philmon yunji yang

Philmon Yunji Yang is Cameroon's current (as of 2004) High Commissioner to Canada. He has served in that position since October 23, 1984. His time in Ottawa has been dedicated to securing more foreign aid for his country, despite human rights abuses and Canadian concerns about corruption. Along with other representatives of African countries, he was pleased by Canada's commitment to debt relief in 2000. As High Commissioner he lives in Ottawa's Sandy Hill neighbourhood, close to most of the other African ambassadors.
