Pharaohe Monch

Pharaohe Monch is an American alternative rapper and hip hop artist, who originally rose to fame as a member of Organized Konfusion with Prince Poetry. After their final album together in 1997 (see 1997 in music), Monch signed to Rawkus Records, an indie label. After making several guest appearances, Monch's much-hyped debut, Internal Affairs was released in 1999 (see 1999 in music) to critical acclaim but slim sales.
