Petros Molyviatis

Petros Molyviatis (born 1928 in Chios is the Greek Foreign Minister since March 2004 after the victory of the Nea Dimokratia (New Democracy) party in the parliamentary elections of March 7 2004. After studying Law at the Athens University he entered the Greek Diplomatic Corps. He served at the Greek Embassies in Moscow( Russia), Pretoria (South Africa) and Ankara (Turkey) as well as at the Permanent Delegation of Greece to the United Nations in New York and to NATO in Brussels (Belgium). In the 1996 and 2000 elections he was elected Member of Parliament.
