Peter Robinson (Novelist)Peter Robinson (born 1950) is an English-born, Canadian-based crime writer. Born in Castleford, Yorkshire in 1950, he studied at the University of Leeds before emigrating to Canada in 1974. He obtained an MA from the University of Windsor and a PhD from York University in Toronto. He is best known for his crime novels set in and around the fictional Yorkshire town of Eastvale, and featuring the detective Alan Banks.
