Peter M. Zawadzki

Peter M. Zawadzki (died September 7, 2004 due to heart failure) was an American artist and gallery owner. He was born on July 16th, 1941 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In 1961, Peter Zawadzki decided to tour Europe with $10,000 to explore the art and culture of Europe. In 1966-1971, Pete lived in New York. In 1972 to his death in 2004, he lived in Baltimore, Maryland. From 1978-1982, he had an art studio on Charles Street in Baltimore. In 1979-1980, he owned a art gallery. From 1993-1999, he owned a art gallery known as SubZero in the Baltimore community of Waverly where he lived in for the latter part of his life. In 1994, he did the cover art for the book Texas in the Morning. In 1999, his art work was featured in the movie Girl-Interrupted. Peter M. Zawadzki is survived by a son, Peter A. Zawadzki of Arlington, Virgina, a brother, Richard Zawadzki of Bridgeport, Virginia, and a daughter, Sonya Bleakly of Baltimore, Maryland.
