Perfect Mirror

A perfect mirror is a theoretical mirror that reflects light perfectly, and has no flaws. Domestic mirrors are not perfect mirrors as they absorb a significant portion of the light which falls on them. Dielectric mirrors which are made of glass (or sometimes other material) substrates on which one or more layers of dielectric material are deposited, to form an optical coating are the physical mirrors which have properties closest to that of a perfect mirror, the best mirrors of this type can reflect > 99.999% of the light incident upon them, though they usually only display this property for a particular range of wavelengths.
