Peaceful Revolution

The Peaceful revolution is the name given to the demonstrations in East Germany that led to the downfall of the government and ultimately to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. Most of these demonstrations took place in October 1989 in what is today Saxony, especially Dresden and Leipzig. See also: Velvet Revolution in the same year in Czechoslovakia
