Pauline Vanier

Pauline Vanier (March 28, 1898 - March 23, 1991), born Pauline Archer in Montreal, she was the wife of Georges Vanier, Governor General of Canada from 1959 until his death in 1967. In 1967 she was made a Companion of the Order of Canada for her humanitarian work. Her son Jean founded L'Arche. There is a high school in Ottawa named for her.
