Paul ZachariaPaul Zacharia is an eminent Malayalam Short story writer, Novelist and essayist. He was born in 1945 at Urulikkunnam in Kottayam district in Kerala. His works have been translated into English and other languages. He is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award. His criticism of religious fundementalism and godmen/godwomen like Mata Amritanandamayi has invited the wrath of Hindu fundamentalist organizations such as Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad/VHP.
