Paul Van Dyk

Paul Van Dyk (born December 16, 1971) is a world renowned trance artist, DJ and remixer. Born in Eisenhttenstadt, Germany, he began as a newcomer to the Berlin club scene in 1991 at Turbine. It was when his friends suggested he pursue DJing after hearing some of his mix tapes, that his career began to take off. Since then, he has become a worldwide DJ and is in popular demand from Hong Kong to LA. His 2000 release Out There and Back catapulted him into superstardom. His song, "For An Angel" is widely considered to be one of the first epic trance songs, and was also ranked as the number 2 electronic song at the end of the last millennium. Other notable tracks include "Travelling" and "Forbidden Fruit." Paul is noticeable political in his celebrity. He was one of the first DJs to be a part of America's Rock the Vote campaign in 2004 and has been seen sporting a T-shirt reading, "Stop the War". Paul van Dyk has a weekly Radio-Show on Germany's Radio Fritz every Wednesday from 20:00 - 22:00 CET. Aliases: DFM
