Paul Kelly (Journalist)

Paul Kelly is a well-known Australian political journalist and historian. Having worked in a variety of roles, including editor, at The Australian, the nation's only national broadsheet, for many years, he has also written several books on the political events of the 1970s and 1980s. His books on the Australian constitutional crisis of 1975 are regarded by many as the definitive accounts of the crisis. His books include:
  • "The Unmaking of Gough" 1976
    • Republished as "The Dismissal" 1983
  • "The Hawke Ascendancy" 1984
  • "The End of Certainty" 1992
