Patrick Tambay

Patrick Tambay (born 25 June 1949 in Paris) was a French Formula One driver. Initially, he raced with McLaren between 1978 and 1979, followed by Ligier. In 1982 he was offered a place with Ferrari Formula One Racing Team - he won the German Grand Prix that year. He was dropped by the team in 1984 - and joined Renault and Haas Beatrice Lola before retiring in 1986.
