Partula

In Roman mythology Partula (also known as Parca) was the goddess of childbirth. She watched over the pregnancy and determined its duration. 1 1 Tertullian, Deuteronomy Carne Christi, chaps. 37, 39. "Partula adjusted every thing relative to the labour".
In biology, Partula is a genus of snails of the family Partulidae.
