Parliamentary Private Secretary
A
Parliamentary Private Secretary
(
PPS
) is a junior role given to
British
Members of Parliament
to act as the Parliamentary contact of senior Ministers. Senior shadow ministers also have a PPS. There are also 'team PPS's' - they serve the whole team in the department. The usual starting point for many MPs looking to become Ministers themselves, seniority is linked to which Minister you are
PPS
to.
