Park Hill, OklahomaPark Hill is a census-designated place located in Cherokee County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 3,936. Geography Park Hill is located at 35°51'49" North, 94°56'52" West (35.863727, -94.947829). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 90.3 km² (34.9 mi²). 89.5 km² (34.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.9 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.95% water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 3,936 people, 1,254 households, and 1,014 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 44.0/km² (113.9/mi²). There are 1,363 housing units at an average density of 15.2/km² (39.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 44.51% White, 0.76% African American, 45.20% Native American, 0.08% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.65% from other races, and 7.77% from two or more races. 4.83% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 1,254 households out of which 47.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% are married couples living together, 20.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.1% are non-families. 15.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.95 and the average family size is 3.28. In the CDP the population is spread out with 35.3% under the age of 18, 13.3% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 17.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 26 years. For every 100 females there are 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 89.9 males. The median income for a household in the CDP is $22,099, and the median income for a family is $24,890. Males have a median income of $27,664 versus $21,419 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $11,802. 35.8% of the population and 29.7% of families are below the poverty line.
