Pam FerrisPam Ferris (born 1948) is a British actress. She was born in Germany and was raised in Wales until her family emigrated to New Zealand when she was 13. Ferris returned to the UK in her early twenties. In 1986 she married actor Roger Frost. Ferris is best known for her role as Ma Larkin in the comedy series The Darling Buds of May (1991-93). She has acted in a succession of television dramas, including Hardwicke House, Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, Paradise Heights, Where The Heart Is and Rosemary & Thyme. Her roles in costume dramas include parts in television adaptations of Middlemarch, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Our Mutual Friend and The Turn of the Screw. Ferris's film roles include Agatha Trunchbull in Matilda, Tommy Cotter in Death to Smoochy and Aunt Marge in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
