Padd

In the Star Trek fictional universe, the Personal Access Display Device is a fictitious hand-held LCARS-based computerized device resembling a PDA which provides wireless access to the main computers, other portable devices, or data stored on isolinear chips. The standard small Starfleet-issue PADD is a gray ten by fifteen by one centimeter rectangle complete with two isolinear read/write drives, a subspace radio transceiver, a sixteen-hour battery, and a display/input screen of approximately eight by five cm. PADDs are produced in a variety of dimensions to accommodate panels of varying size.
