Outremont (Electoral District)

Outremont is the name of a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada. Its population is 96,693. (2001)

Geography

The district includes the former City of Outremont, the eastern part of Cte-des-Neiges in the Cte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grce borough, and the western part of the Mile End in the Plateau Mont-Royal borough in the City of Montreal.

History

The electoral district was created in 1933 from LaurierOutremont and Mount Royal. The name was changed to OutremontSaint-Jean in 1947 and back to Outremont in 1966. List of Members:
